Harmattan is here, Yuletide at the corner: God is good all year round!

Harmattan knocks at us already in my country πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬ I suppose. Or am I alone on this? πŸ˜„ The early mornings’ temperatures of recent days now zero out quite gradually I think. The slightly hot air of day doesn’t belie its presence with us either. What a wonderful Creator Jehovah God is! He has made all things well, for which we are glad.

And every passing year this dry weather greets us, we are reminded of God’s unfailing mercies through the year. Also, one’s interest is whetted ahead of the festive celebrations and activities that are lined up as well. From the Christmas carols to the December travels, family reunions, work and school holidays plus the surprising thinking about the swiftness of the year’s 365 days passing, earnest anticipations from the remaining calendar days, and the coming year’s promises, our minds are flooded with bright amazement and cherished hopes.

Then, days like these, of course, are best for convenient and long times of needed introspection. They offer us sufficient moments and space to reflect on our past lives in the year whilst it also leaves us with revitalizing options of planning, change, growth, rectitude, and the embrace of new decisions in preparation for the best of the next year.

Year 2024 has indeed been no less eventful than most of our past years – from our own personal strides to the litanies of situations and stories that surround us – which have shaped our existence somehow thus far. But beyond the mere feeling of thrill and adventure, each of us, without exception, is charged of one very important thing: The purpose of man or the light that must shine from the human spirit.

I have watched myself learn some sailent lessons of life here and there this year and the end of the year is just a perfect time to reminisce about those things and allow the light of my living (God’s kindling πŸ’‘ in me – through all these means He uses) to revivify beyond flickers and shine fully before the world. I hope you are set apart too in this spirit of restful meditation and divine recharge this period.

Finally, I want to ask that you and I seek God’s help to finish this year memorably. And there’s no better way to go about this than to have a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. Life within God’s perimeter of graceful control and fatherhood is one priceless blessing that I hope you find, cherish and relish this period, in 2025, and forever.

Happy Yuletide in advance 🌹. Enjoy the year’s good memories ✨. And give over the ugly ones to the One, the Almighty, who knows tomorrow.

May we all witness the new year and all the good it holds 🀍.

“O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.” – Psalms 136:1 (KJV)
